My Bio
Welcome everyone!

The Taoistic philosopher Zhuang-Zi once expressed his attitude towards life: "Leap into the boundless and make it your home!" I totally agree and thus chose it as my guiding principle!

Now, Henry Cartier-Bresson aptly provides a link between this Taoistic principle and photography: "Taking photographs (...) is a way of shouting, or freeing oneself, not of proving or asserting one's own originality. It is a way of life."

So, in short, I take pictures because I love to and I love to take pictures because it is a manifestation of a particular simple and sensitive attitude towards life.

I hope you enjoy my photographs as much as I enjoy taking them. :XD:

I'd be glad if you leave a comment to tell me what you think about my work or just to chat a bit. Have a good time!

Following is a quote by Henry David Thoreau. He lived alone in a self-built log cabin in the woods around Walden pond (Massachusetts) for over two years. It is remarkable how easily and insensibly we fall into a particular route, and make a beaten track for ourselves. I had not lived there a week before my feet wore a path from my door to the pond-side; and though it is five or six years since I trod it, it is still quite distinct. It is true, I fear that others may have fallen

Chilling wind

0 min read
Fall and frost have just arrived in Germany which remind me of the lyrics of a song called "Tomorrow" by UK-based band Daughter. "By tomorrow I'll be lost amongst the leaves In a wind that chills the skeletons of trees." It's a great song, if you want to check it out then head over to Soundcloud http://soundcloud.com/ohdaughter .

You know the feeling of ease and lightness which a bright spring day inspires? Then you might like the following poem by Zhuang-Zi. Ch'ui the draftsman Could draw more perfect circles freehand Than with a compass. His fingers brought forth Spontaneous forms from nowhere. His mind Was meanwhile free and without concern With what he was doing. No application was needed His mind was perfectly simple And knew no obstacle. So, when the shoe fits The foot is forgotten, When the belt fits The belly is forgotten, When the heart is right "For" and "against" are forgotten. No drives, no compulsions, No needs, no attractions: Then you

Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Geburtstag, Florian! :ahoy:
Vielen lieben Dank, Florian! :ahoy: Tut mir leid, dass ich so spät erst antworte, aber ich war hier schon lange nicht mehr online. Drück' mal die Daumen, dass ich in Zukunft wieder mehr Zeit dazu habe. :)
LG und bis demnächst!
The pleasure is all mine. It's a great find!
